DECEMBER MEDITATION PROGRAM

THEME: ENDINGS AND NEW BEGINNINGS

The closing month of the year is an important time to reflect on the outgoing year and to gain clarity on the shape that you want your spiritual life to take in the incoming year.  It is also a time to set in motion intentions for our collective existence.  The meditation program for December is designed to help you take stock and raise your awareness, including being grateful for all the experience you have had during the outgoing year.

The meditations can be done in whichever order you wish. Select the one you are drawn to at any given time; repeat any of them as often as you like.  However, you are encouraged to try all of them since together they form a cohesive framework for movement towards insight about the outgoing year and shaping the year ahead.

Reflections on Endings and New Beginnings

It is all a blessing.  Each and every single occurrence is a blessing.  All the darkness and all the brightness are equally blessings.  Each moment of existence is a blessing.  Each moment builds upon the next and the moment that is now could not exist without what came before.  The moment that is now has its foundation in all the moments prior; all of the distant past shapes the present.

Wholeness exists from the totality of experiences and growing into a state of awareness through the experiences lived.  In this way all experience is a blessing as it is created to offer whatever you need to live through in order to build your Higher Consciousness and Enlightenment. All is to be cherished.  Each of us is to draw meaning for themselves from experiences that present.

Rise above the day to day to observe both the constant stillness and the longer term positive global shifts that are in progress.  Search for the good, the just, the compassionate and see as much of them as you can for thus do you expand them.  For that which holds your attention grows.  Choose wisely therefore what you dwell upon for that is what you will create in your existence!

Give shape to your path through your connection to your inner knowing Higher-Self: be still, listen, and observe.  Be not in such a hurry for unfoldment.  Know that there is activity even when it seems there is no movement.

Releasing Unwanted Emotional Responses

This meditation will assist you in clearing out barriers and baggage that disrupt your centeredness and inner peace. During the meditation focus on releasing negative responses to situations that are triggers for you.  Clearing the deck so to speak to enter the New Year refreshed and freed of unwanted negative responses to externalities is the aim of this meditation.

Connecting with your Intended Path and Purpose

During the meditation connect with your higher-self to receive guidance on the focus, priorities and intentions for your life’s direction in the coming year.

Blessing for the Natural Environment

Devote this meditation to putting forth healing intentions to help Nature weather the upheavals it experiences.

Blessing for Global Harmony

During this meditation focus on sending forth intentions for easing the harshness of the experiences that are the result of rebellions, revolts, violence and oppression in various parts of the globe.

Celebrate Your Year’s Experiences

During the meditation contemplate the ways in which even the difficult or “unpleasant” during the year has helped you grow.  You may want to write down the insights that came to you during the meditation so you can revisit the silver lining under those challenging experiences!
